American King James Version
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: "
— Matthew 6:19, American King James Version
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:”
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: ”
“"Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;”
“Lasting Treasure“Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and devouring insect destroy and where thieves break in and steal.”
“Lay not up to yourselves treasures on earth: where the rust, and moth consume, and where thieves break through, and steal.”
“Make no store of wealth for yourselves on earth, where it may be turned to dust by worms and weather, and where thieves may come in by force and take it away.”
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:”
Moreover when you fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear to men to fast. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.
But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;
That you appear not to men to fast, but to your Father which is in secret: and your Father, which sees in secret, shall reward you openly. ¶
Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light.
