“And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.”
“And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified. ”
“But the governor said, "Why? What evil has he done?" But they cried out exceedingly, saying, "Let him be crucified!"”
“He asked,“Why? What wrong has he done?” But they shouted more insistently,“Crucify him!””
“The governor said to them: Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying: Let him be crucified.”
“And he said, Why, what evil has he done? But they gave loud cries, saying, To the cross with him!”

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
The governor answered and said to them, Whether of the two will you that I release to you? They said, Barabbas.
Pilate says to them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say to him, Let him be crucified.
And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. ¶
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see you to it.
Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. ¶
Then released he Barabbas to them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
