American King James Version
"Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. "
— Matthew 26:20, American King James Version
“Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.”
“Now when even was come, he was sitting at meat with the twelve disciples; ”
“Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.”
“When it was evening, he took his place at the table with the twelve.”
“But when it was evening, he sat down with his twelve disciples.”
“Now when evening was come, he was seated at table with the twelve disciples;”
“Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.”
Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, Where will you that we prepare for you to eat the passover?
And he says, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Master said, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.
And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
And as they did eat, he said, Truly I say to you, that one of you shall betray me.
And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say to him, Lord, is it I?
And he answered and said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
