“And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?”
“And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your teacher pay the half-shekel? ”
“When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins came to Peter, and said, "Doesn't your teacher pay the didrachma?"”

However, this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting. ¶
And while they stayed in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry. ¶
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Does not your master pay tribute?
He says, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What think you, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
Peter says to him, Of strangers. Jesus says to him, Then are the children free.
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go you to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you have opened his mouth, you shall find a piece of money: that take, and give to them for me and you.
