American King James Version
"Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, "
— Matthew 10:9, American King James Version
“Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,”
“Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses; ”
“Don't take any gold, nor silver, nor brass in your money belts.”
“Do not take gold, silver, or copper in your belts,”
“Do not possess gold, nor silver, nor money in your purses:”
“Take no gold or silver or copper in your pockets;”
“Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,”
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.
Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
Nor money for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
And into whatever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till you go there.
And when you come into an house, salute it.
