American King James Version
"And he asked the scribes, What question you with them? "
— Mark 9:16, American King James Version
“And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?”
“And he asked them, What question ye with them? ”
“He asked the scribes, "What are you asking them?"”
“He asked them,“What are you arguing about with them?””
“And one of the multitude, answering, said: Master, I have brought my son to thee, having a dumb spirit.”
“And he said, What are you questioning them about?”
“And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?”
But I say to you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they listed, as it is written of him. ¶
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
And he asked the scribes, What question you with them?
And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought to you my son, which has a dumb spirit;
And wherever he takes him, he tears him: and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pines away: and I spoke to your disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
He answers him, and says, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him to me.
