— Mark 15:7, World English Bible
“And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.”
“And there was one called Barabbas, lying bound with them that had made insurrection, men who in the insurrection had committed murder. ”
“A man named Barabbas was imprisoned with rebels who had committed murder during an insurrection.”
“And there was one called Barabbas, who was put in prison with some seditious men, who in the sedition had committed murder.”
“And there was one named Barabbas, in prison with those who had gone against the government and in the fight had taken life.”
“And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.”
Pilate again asked him, "Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you!"
But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate marveled.
Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.
There was one called Barabbas, bound with those who had made insurrection, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.
The multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do as he always did for them.
Pilate answered them, saying, "Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?"
For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
