The Prediction of Peter’s Denial Then Jesus said to them,“You will all fall away, for it is written,‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’
But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
Peter said to him,“Even if they all fall away, I will not!”
Jesus said to him,“I tell you the truth, today– this very night– before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”
But Peter insisted emphatically,“Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.
Gethsemane Then they went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples,“Sit here while I pray.”
