The Baptism and Temptation of Jesus Now in those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River.
And just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
And a voice came from heaven:“You are my one dear Son; in you I take great delight.”
The Spirit immediately drove him into the wilderness.
