"“Leave us alone, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are– the Holy One of God!”"
— Mark 1:24, NET Bible
“Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.”
“saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. ”
“saying, "Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!"”
“Saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know who thou art, the Holy One of God.”
“Saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to put an end to us? I see well who you are, the Holy One of God.”
“Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.”
Jesus’ Authority Then they went to Capernaum. When the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.
The people there were amazed by his teaching, because he taught them like one who had authority, not like the experts in the law.
Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
“Leave us alone, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are– the Holy One of God!”
But Jesus rebuked him:“Silence! Come out of him!”
After throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.
They were all amazed so that they asked each other,“What is this? A new teaching with authority! He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him.”
