— Luke 7:47, Catholic Public Domain Version
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.”
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. ”
“Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."”
“Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little.””
“Wherefore, I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.”
“And so I say to you, She will have forgiveness for her sins which are great in number, because of her great love: but he who has small need of forgiveness gives little love.”
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.”
And turning to the woman, he said to Simon: “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house. You gave me no water for my feet. But she has washed my feet with tears, and has wiped them with her hair.
You gave no kiss to me. But she, from the time that she entered, has not ceased to kiss my feet.
You did not anoint my head with oil. But she has anointed my feet with ointment.
Because of this, I tell you: many sins are forgiven her, because she has loved much. But he who is forgiven less, loves less.”
Then he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven you.”
And those who sat at table with him began to say within themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?”
Then he said to the woman: “Your faith has brought you salvation. Go in peace.”
