"saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, and regarded not man: "
— Luke 18:2, American Standard Version
“Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:”
“saying, "There was a judge in a certain city who didn't fear God, and didn't respect man.”
“He said,“In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people.”
“Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God nor regarded man.”
“Saying, There was a judge in a certain town, who had no fear of God or respect for man:”
“Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:”
And he spake a parable unto them to the end that they ought always to pray, and not to faint;
saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, and regarded not man:
and there was a widow in that city; and she came oft unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest she wear me out by her continual coming.
