"Gird your waist like a man. I will question you, and you must answer me. "
— Job 40:2, Catholic Public Domain Version
“Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.”
“ Shall he that cavilleth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it. ”
“"Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it."”
““Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!””
“Gird up thy loins like a man: I will ask thee, and do thou tell me.”
“Will he who is protesting give teaching to the Ruler of all? Let him who has arguments to put forward against God give an answer.”
“Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.”
But the Lord, answering Job out of the whirlwind, said:
Gird your waist like a man. I will question you, and you must answer me.
Will you make my judgment null and void; and will you condemn me so that you may be justified?
And do you have an arm like God, or a voice like thunder?
Envelop yourself with splendor, and raise yourself up on high, and be glorious, and put on splendid garments.
