American King James Version
"Can a man be profitable to God, as he that is wise may be profitable to himself? "
— Job 22:2, American King James Version
“Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?”
“ Can a man be profitable unto God? Surely he that is wise is profitable unto himself. ”
“"Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.”
““Is it to God that a strong man is of benefit? Is it to him that even a wise man is profitable?”
“Can man be compared with God, even though he were of perfect knowledge?”
“Is it possible for a man to be of profit to God? No, for a man's wisdom is only of profit to himself.”
“Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?”
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
Can a man be profitable to God, as he that is wise may be profitable to himself?
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that you are righteous? or is it gain to him, that you make your ways perfect?
Will he reprove you for fear of you? will he enter with you into judgment?
Is not your wickedness great? and your iniquities infinite?
