American King James Version
"But you should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me? "
— Job 19:28, American King James Version
“But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?”
“If ye say, How we will persecute him! And that the root of the matter is found in me; ”
“If you say, 'How we will persecute him!' because the root of the matter is found in me,”
“If you say,‘How we will pursue him, since the root of the trouble is found in him!’”
“Why then do you say now: Let us persecute him, and let us find occasion of word against him?”
“If you say, How cruel we will be to him! because the root of sin is clearly in him:”
“But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?”
For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day on the earth:
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
But you should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
Be you afraid of the sword: for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment.
