King James Version
But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
— Job 19:28-1953, King James Version
“If ye say, How we will persecute him! And that the root of the matter is found in me; Be ye afraid of the sword: For wrathbringeththe punishments of the sword, That ye may know there is a judgment. ”
“If you say, 'How we will persecute him!' because the root of the matter is found in me, be afraid of the sword, for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment."”
“If you say,‘How we will pursue him, since the root of the trouble is found in him!’ Fear the sword yourselves, for wrath brings the punishment by the sword, so that you may know that there is judgment.””
“Why then do you say now: Let us persecute him, and let us find occasion of word against him? Flee then from the face of the sword, for the sword is the revenger of iniquities: and know ye that there is a judgment. ”
“If you say, How cruel we will be to him! because the root of sin is clearly in him: Be in fear of the sword, for the sword is the punishment for such things, so that you may be certain that there is a judge.”
“But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me? Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment. ”
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
