American King James Version
"Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself? "
— Job 15:8, American King James Version
“Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?”
“Hast thou heard the secret counsel of God? And dost thou limit wisdom to thyself? ”
“Have you heard the secret counsel of God? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?”
“Do you listen in on God’s secret council? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?”
“Hast thou heard God's counsel, and shall his wisdom be inferior to thee?”
“Were you present at the secret meeting of God? and have you taken all wisdom for yourself?”
“Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?”
For your mouth utters your iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
Your own mouth condemns you, and not I: yes, your own lips testify against you.
Are you the first man that was born? or were you made before the hills?
Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself?
What know you, that we know not? what understand you, which is not in us?
With us are both the gray headed and very aged men, much elder than your father.
Are the consolations of God small with you? is there any secret thing with you?
