American King James Version
"Are the consolations of God small with you? is there any secret thing with you? "
— Job 15:11, American King James Version
“Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?”
“Are the consolations of God too small for thee, Even the word that is gentle toward thee? ”
“Are the consolations of God too small for you, even the word that is gentle toward you?”
“Are God’s consolations too trivial for you; or a word spoken in gentleness to you?”
“Is it a great matter that God should comfort thee? but thy wicked words hinder this.”
“Are the comforts of God not enough for you, and the gentle word which was said to you?”
“Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?”
Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself?
What know you, that we know not? what understand you, which is not in us?
With us are both the gray headed and very aged men, much elder than your father.
Are the consolations of God small with you? is there any secret thing with you?
Why does your heart carry you away? and what do your eyes wink at,
That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
