" In many places and in many ways, in past times, God spoke to the fathers through the Prophets;"
— Hebrews 1:1, Catholic Public Domain Version
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”
“God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners, ”
“God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,”
“¶ Introduction: God Has Spoken Fully and Finally in His Son After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,”
“God, who, at sundry times and in divers manners, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all,”
“In times past the word of God came to our fathers through the prophets, in different parts and in different ways;”
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”
In many places and in many ways, in past times, God spoke to the fathers through the Prophets;
lastly, in these days, he has spoken to us through the Son, whom he appointed as the heir of all things, and through whom he made the world.
And since the Son is the brightness of his glory, and the figure of his substance, and is carrying all things by the Word of his virtue, thereby accomplishing a purging of sins, he sits at the right hand of Majesty on high.
And having been made so much better than the Angels, he has inherited a name so much greater than theirs.
