American King James Version
"The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. ¶ "
— Deuteronomy 24:16, American King James Version
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. ”
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”
“Fathers must not be put to death for what their children do, nor children for what their fathers do; each must be put to death for his own sin.”
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children for the fathers, but every one shall die for his own sin,”
“Fathers are not to be put to death for their children or children for their fathers: every man is to be put to death for the sin which he himself has done.”
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”
In any case you shall deliver him the pledge again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God. ¶
You shall not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates:
At his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to the LORD, and it be sin to you.
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. ¶
You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you there: therefore I command you to do this thing. ¶
When you cut down your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
