NASB
"Why should I fear in days of adversity, When the iniquity of my foes surrounds me,"
— Psalms 49:5, NASB
“Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?”
“Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, When iniquity at my heels compasseth me about? ”
“Why should I fear in the days of evil, when iniquity at my heels surrounds me?”
“Why should I be afraid in times of trouble, when the sinful deeds of deceptive men threaten to overwhelm me?”
“Gather ye together his saints to him: who set his covenant before sacrifices.”
“What cause have I for fear in the days of evil, when the evil-doing of those who are working for my downfall is round about me?”
“Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?”
Both low and high, Rich and poor together.
My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be understanding.
I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will express my riddle on the harp.
Why should I fear in days of adversity, When the iniquity of my foes surrounds me,
Even those who trust in their wealth And boast in the abundance of their riches?
No man can by any means redeem his brother Or give to God a ransom for him--
For the redemption of his soul is costly, And he should cease trying forever--
