"They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long."
— Psalms 38:12, World English Bible
“They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.”
“They also that seek after my life lay snares for me; And they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, And meditate deceits all the day long. ”
“Those who seek my life try to entrap me; those who want to harm me speak destructive words; all day long they say deceitful things.”
“Thou hast corrected man for iniquity. And thou hast made his soul to waste away like a spider: surely in vain is any man disquieted.”
“Those who have a desire to take my life put nets for me; those who are designing my destruction say evil things against me, all the day their minds are full of deceit.”
“They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.”
Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.
My heart throbs. My strength fails me. As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague. My kinsmen stand far away.
They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.
But I, as a deaf man, don't hear. I am as a mute man who doesn't open his mouth.
Yes, I am as a man who doesn't hear, in whose mouth are no reproofs.
For in you, Yahweh, do I hope. You will answer, Lord my God.
