— Psalms 35:2, Catholic Public Domain Version
“Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.”
“Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help. ”
“Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.”
“Grab your small shield and large shield, and rise up to help me!”
“The unjust hath said within himself, that he would sin: there is no fear of God before his eyes.”
“Be a breastplate to me, and give me your help.”
“Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.”
Unto the end. To the servant of the Lord, David himself.
The unjust one has said within himself that he would commit offenses. There is no fear of God before his eyes.
For he has acted deceitfully in his sight, such that his iniquity will be found to be hatred.
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He is unwilling to understand, so that he may act well.
He has been considering iniquity on his bed. He has set himself on every way that is not good; moreover, he has not hated evil.
