"For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created. "
— Psalms 32:9, Catholic Public Domain Version
“Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.”
“Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; Whose trappings must be bit and bridle to hold them in, Elsethey will not come near unto thee. ”
“Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.”
“Do not be like an unintelligent horse or mule, which will not obey you unless they are controlled by a bridle and bit.”
“For he spoke and they were made: he commanded and they were created.”
“Do not be like the horse or the ass, without sense; ...”
“Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.”
By the word of the Lord, the heavens were established, and all their power, by the Spirit of his mouth:
gathering together the waters of the sea, as if in a container, placing the depths in storage.
Let all the earth fear the Lord, and may all the inhabitants of the world quake before him.
For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created.
The Lord scatters the counsels of the nations. Moreover, he reproves the thoughts of the people, and he rejects the counsels of the leaders.
But the counsel of the Lord remains for eternity, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his inheritance.
