"When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell."
— Psalms 27:2, World English Bible
“When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”
“When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, Even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. ”
“When evil men attack me to devour my flesh, when my adversaries and enemies attack me, they stumble and fall.”
“Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple.”
“When evil-doers, even my haters, came on me to put an end to me, they were broken and put to shame.”
“When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”
Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.
