King James Version
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
— Psalms 125:2-1953, King James Version
“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore. For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; That the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity. Do good, O Jehovah, unto those that are good, And to them that are upright in their hearts. But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel. ”
“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forth and forevermore. For the scepter of wickedness won't remain over the allotment of the righteous; so that the righteous won't use their hands to do evil. Do good, Yahweh, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts. But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel. A Song of Ascents.”
“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, now and forevermore. Indeed, the scepter of a wicked king will not settle upon the allotted land of the godly. Otherwise the godly might do what is wrong. Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to the morally upright! As for those who are bent on traveling a sinful path, may the LORD remove them, along with those who behave wickedly! May Israel experience peace!”
“Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Going they went and wept, casting their seeds. But coming they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves. ”
“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people, from this time and for ever. For the rod of sinners will not be resting on the heritage of the upright; so that the upright may not put out their hands to evil. Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart. But as for such as are turned out of the straight way, the Lord will take them away with the workers of evil. Let peace be on Israel.”
“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. ”
They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
