American King James Version
"To call passengers who go right on their ways: "
— Proverbs 9:15, American King James Version
“To call passengers who go right on their ways:”
“To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways: ”
“To call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,”
“calling out to those who are passing by her in the way, who go straight on their way.”
“To call them that pass by the way, and go on their journey:”
“Crying out to those who go by, going straight on their way, she says:”
“To call passengers who go right on their ways:”
If you be wise, you shall be wise for yourself: but if you scorn, you alone shall bear it. ¶
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knows nothing.
For she sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
Whoever is simple, let him turn in here: and as for him that wants understanding, she says to him,
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
But he knows not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
