“And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;”
“And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thy hand upon him; ”
“Yahweh said to Moses, "Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;”
“And the Lord said to him: take Josue the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and put thy hand upon him.”
“And the Lord said to Moses, Take Joshua, the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and put your hand on him;”
“And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;”
Then Moses spoke to the LORD:
“Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all humankind, appoint a man over the community,
who will go out before them, and who will come in before them, and who will lead them out, and who will bring them in, so that the community of the LORD may not be like sheep that have no shepherd.”
The LORD replied to Moses,“Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
set him before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community, and commission him publicly.
Then you must delegate some of your authority to him, so that the whole community of the Israelites will be obedient.
And he will stand before Eleazar the priest, who will seek counsel for him before the LORD by the decision of the Urim. At his command they will go out, and at his command they will come in, he and all the Israelites with him, the whole community.”
