“But the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim. The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God. For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required. And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people. And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt in Kiriath-arba and the towns thereof, and in Dibon and the towns thereof, and in Jekabzeel and the villages thereof, and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet, and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba and the towns thereof, and in Ziklag, and in Meconah and in the towns thereof, and in En-rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth, Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and the fields thereof, Azekah and the towns thereof. So they encamped from Beer-sheba unto the valley of Hinnom. The children of Benjamin also dwelt from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Beth-el and the towns thereof, at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. And of the Levites, certain courses in Judah were joined to Benjamin. ”

Of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah [were joined] to Benjamin.”

“The temple attendants were living on Ophel, and Ziha and Gishpa were over them. The overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica. He was one of Asaph’s descendants who were the singers responsible for the service of the temple of God. For they were under royal orders which determined their activity day by day. Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, one of the descendants of Zerah son of Judah, was an adviser to the king in every matter pertaining to the people. As for the settlements with their fields, some of the people of Judah settled in Kiriath Arba and its neighboring villages, in Dibon and its villages, in Jekabzeel and its settlements, in Jeshua, in Moladah, in Beth Pelet, in Hazar Shual, in Beer Sheba and its villages, in Ziklag, in Meconah and its villages, in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth, Zanoah, Adullam and their settlements, in Lachish and its fields, and in Azekah and its villages. So they were encamped from Beer Sheba to the Valley of Hinnom. Some of the descendants of Benjamin settled in Geba, Micmash, Aija, Bethel and its villages, in Anathoth, Nob, and Ananiah, in Hazor, Ramah, and Gittaim, in Hadid, Zeboim, and Neballat, in Lod, Ono, and the Valley of the Craftsmen. Some of the Judean divisions of the Levites settled in Benjamin.”

“And the Nathinites, that dwelt in Ophel, and Siaha, and Gaspha of the Nathinites. And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Azzi the son of Bani, the son of Hasabia, the son of Mathania, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, were the singing men in the ministry of the house of God. For the king's commandment was concerning them, and an order among the singing men day by day. And Phathahia the son of Mesezebel of the children of Zara the son of Juda was at the hand of the king, in all matters concerning the people, And in the houses through all their countries. Of the children of Juda some dwelt at Cariath-Arbe, and in the villages thereof: and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof: and at Cabseel, and in the villages thereof. And at Jesue, and at Molada, and at Bethphaleth, And at Hasersuel, and at Bersabee, and in the villages thereof, And at Siceleg, and at Mochona, and in the villages thereof, And at Remmon, and at Saraa, and at Jerimuth, Zanoa, Odollam, and in their villages, at Lachis and its dependencies, and at Azeca and the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Bersabee unto the valley of Ennom. And the children of Benjamin, from Geba, at Mechmas, and at Hai, and at Bethel, and in the villages thereof, At Anathoth, Nob, Anania, Asor, Rama, Gethaim, Hadid, Seboim, and Neballat, Lod, And Ono the valley of craftsmen. And of the Levites were portions of Juda and Benjamin. ”

“But the Nethinim were living in the Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim. And the overseer of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi, the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the music-makers, who was over the business of the house of God. For there was an order from the king about them and a regular amount for the music-makers, for their needs day by day. And Pethahiah, the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah, the son of Judah, was the king's servant in everything to do with the people. And for the daughter-towns with their fields, some of the men of Judah were living in Kiriath-arba and its daughter-towns, and in Dibon and its daughter-towns, and in Jekabzeel and its daughter-towns, And in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet, And in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba and its daughter-towns, And in Ziklag, and in Meconah and its daughter-towns, And in En-rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth, Zanoah, Adullam and their daughter-towns, Lachish and its fields, Azekah and its daughter-towns. So they were living from Beer-sheba to the valley of Hinnom. And the children of Benjamin were living from Geba, at Michmash and Aija, and at Beth-el and its daughter-towns, At Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, Lod and Ono, the valley of expert workers. And of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah were joined to Benjamin.”

“But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God. For it was the king’s commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day. And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people. And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjath–arba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof, And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Beth–phelet, And at Hazar–shual, and at Beer–sheba, and in the villages thereof, And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof, And at En–rimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth, Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beer–sheba unto the valley of Hinnom. The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Beth–el, and in their villages, And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin. ”
