King James Version
Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?
Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
— Lamentations 5:20-1953, King James Version
“Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, Andforsake us so long time? Turn thou us unto thee, O Jehovah, and we shall be turned; Renew our days as of old. But thou hast utterly rejected us; Thou art very wroth against us. ”
“Why do you forget us forever, [And] forsake us so long time? Turn us to yourself, Yahweh, and we shall be turned. Renew our days as of old. But you have utterly rejected us; You are very angry against us.”
“Why do you keep on forgetting us? Why do you forsake us so long? Bring us back to yourself, O LORD, so that we may return to you; renew our life as in days before, unless you have utterly rejected us and are angry with us beyond measure.”
“Why wilt thou forget us for ever? why wilt thou forsake us for a long time? Convert us, O Lord, to thee, and we shall be converted: renew our days, as from the beginning. But thou hast utterly rejected us, thou art exceedingly angry with us. ”
“Why have we gone from your memory for ever? why have you been turned away from us for so long? Make us come back to you, O Lord, and let us be turned; make our days new again as in the past. But you have quite given us up; you are full of wrath against us.”
“Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time? Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us. ”
For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.
Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.

Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?
Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
