"And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valor. "
— Judges 20:44, American King James Version
“And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valour.”
“And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valor. ”
“There fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these [were] men of valor.”
“Eighteen thousand Benjaminites, all of them capable warriors, fell dead.”
“And they that were slain in the same place, were eighteen thousand men, all most valiant soldiers.”
“Eighteen thousand men of Benjamin came to their death, all strong men of war.”
“And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valour.”
And when the men of Israel turned again, the men of Benjamin were amazed: for they saw that evil was come on them.
Therefore they turned their backs before the men of Israel to the way of the wilderness; but the battle overtook them; and them which came out of the cities they destroyed in the middle of them.
Thus they enclosed the Benjamites round about, and chased them, and stepped them down with ease over against Gibeah toward the sun rise.
And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these were men of valor.
And they turned and fled toward the wilderness to the rock of Rimmon: and they gleaned of them in the highways five thousand men; and pursued hard after them to Gidom, and slew two thousand men of them.
So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these were men of valor.
But six hundred men turned and fled to the wilderness to the rock Rimmon, and stayed in the rock Rimmon four months.
