American King James Version
"Jesus answered him, Say you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me? "
— John 18:34, American King James Version
“Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?”
“Jesus answered, Sayest thou this of thyself, or did others tell it thee concerning me? ”
“Jesus answered him, "Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?"”
“Jesus replied,“Are you saying this on your own initiative, or have others told you about me?””
“Jesus answered: Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or have others told it thee of me?”
“Jesus made answer, Do you say this of yourself, or did others say it about me?”
“Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?”
Then said Pilate to them, Take you him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said to him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said to him, Are you the King of the Jews?
Jesus answered him, Say you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me?
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you to me: what have you done?
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.
