— John 10:39, Catholic Public Domain Version
“Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,”
“They sought again to take him: and he went forth out of their hand. ”
“They sought again to seize him, and he went out of their hand.”
“Then they attempted again to seize him, but he escaped their clutches.”
“They sought therefore to take him: and he escaped out of their hands.”
“Then again they made an attempt to take him; but he got away from them.”
“Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,”

Therefore, they sought to apprehend him, but he escaped from their hands.
And he went again across the Jordan, to that place where John first was baptizing. And he lodged there.
And many went out to him. And they were saying: “Indeed, John accomplished no signs.
But all things whatsoever that John said about this man were true.” And many believed in him.
