American King James Version
"For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, and has perceived and heard his word? who has marked his word, and heard it? "
— Jeremiah 23:18, American King James Version
“For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?”
“For who hath stood in the council of Jehovah, that he should perceive and hear his word? who hath marked my word, and heard it? ”
“For who has stood in the council of Yahweh, that he should perceive and hear his word? who has marked my word, and heard it?”
“Yet which of them has ever stood in the LORD’s inner circle so they could see and hear what he has to say? Which of them have ever paid attention or listened to what he has said?”
“For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath seen and heard his word? Who hath considered his word and heard it?”
“For which of them has knowledge of the secret of the Lord, and has seen him, and given ear to his word? which of them has taken note of his word and given attention to it?”
“For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?”
Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.
Thus says the LORD of hosts, Listen not to the words of the prophets that prophesy to you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
They say still to them that despise me, The LORD has said, You shall have peace; and they say to every one that walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come on you.
For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, and has perceived and heard his word? who has marked his word, and heard it?
Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously on the head of the wicked.
The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days you shall consider it perfectly.
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
