American King James Version
"There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judge another? "
— James 4:12, American King James Version
“There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?”
“One only is the lawgiver and judge, even he who is able to save and to destroy: but who art thou that judgest thy neighbor? ”
“Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?”
“But there is only one who is lawgiver and judge– the one who is able to save and destroy. On the other hand, who are you to judge your neighbor?”
“There is one lawgiver and judge, that is able to destroy and to deliver.”
“There is only one judge and law-giver, even he who has the power of salvation and of destruction; but who are you to be your neighbour's judge?”
“There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?”
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Speak not evil one of another, brothers. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you that judge another?
Go to now, you that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.
For that you ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
