American King James Version
"Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? "
— James 3:11, American King James Version
“Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?”
“Doth the fountain send forth from the same opening sweet water and bitter? ”
“Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?”
“A spring does not pour out fresh water and bitter water from the same opening, does it?”
“Doth a fountain send forth, out of the same hole, sweet and bitter water?”
“Does the fountain send from the same outlet sweet and bitter water?”
“Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?”

Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can the fig tree, my brothers, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
