American King James Version
"But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? "
— James 2:6, American King James Version
“But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?”
“But ye have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you, and themselves drag you before the judgment-seats? ”
“But you have dishonored the poor man. Don't the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the courts?”
“But you have dishonored the poor! Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?”
“But you have dishonoured the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you by might? And do not they draw you before the judgment seats?”
“But you have put the poor man to shame. Are not the men of wealth rulers over you? do they not take you by force before their judges?”
“But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?”
And you have respect to him that wears the gay clothing, and say to him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:
Are you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
Listen, my beloved brothers, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?
But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?
If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:
But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
