American King James Version
"You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. "
— James 2:19, American King James Version
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
“Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder. ”
“You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.”
“You believe that God is one; well and good. Even the demons believe that– and tremble with fear.”
“Thou believest that there is one God. Thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble.”
“You have the belief that God is one, and you do well: the evil spirits have the same belief, shaking with fear.”
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son on the altar?
See you how faith worked with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
