"Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? "
— Isaiah 10:9, American Standard Version
“Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?”
“Isn't Calno like Carchemish? Isn't Hamath like Arpad? Isn't Samaria like Damascus?"”
“Is not Calneh like Carchemish? Hamath like Arpad? Samaria like Damascus?”
“Are not my princes as so many kings? is not Calano as Charcamis: and Emath as Arphad? is not Samaria as Damascus?”
“Will not the fate of Calno be like that of Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?”
“Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?”
I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.
For he saith, Are not my princes all of them kings?
Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
