"And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?"
— Hebrews 3:18, NET Bible
“And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?”
“And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that were disobedient? ”
“To whom did he swear that they wouldn't enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?”
“And to whom did he swear, that they should not enter into his rest: but to them that were incredulous?”
“And to whom did he make an oath that they might not come into his rest? was it not to those who went against his orders?”
“And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?”
As it says,“Oh, that today you would listen as he speaks! Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
For which ones heard and rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Egypt under Moses’ leadership?
And against whom was God provoked for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?
And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?
So we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.
