"When the LORD commanded the man dressed in linen,“Take fire from within the wheelwork, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood by one of the wheels."
— Ezekiel 10:6, NET Bible
“And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.”
“And it came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim, that he went in, and stood beside a wheel. ”
“It came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim, that he went in, and stood beside a wheel.”
“And when he had commanded the man that was clothed with linen, saying: Take fire from the midst of the wheels that are between the cherubims: he went in and stood beside the wheel.”
“And when he gave orders to the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the winged ones, then he went in and took his place at the side of a wheel.”
“And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.”
(The cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner court.)
Then the glory of the LORD arose from the cherub and moved to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud while the court was filled with the brightness of the LORD’s glory.
The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard from the outer court, like the sound of the Sovereign God when he speaks.
When the LORD commanded the man dressed in linen,“Take fire from within the wheelwork, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood by one of the wheels.
Then one of the cherubim stretched out his hand toward the fire which was among the cherubim. He took some and put it into the hands of the man dressed in linen, who took it and left.
(The cherubim appeared to have the form of human hands under their wings.)
As I watched, I noticed four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub; the wheels gleamed like jasper.
