American Standard Version
"and the hole of the robe in the midst thereof, as the hole of a coat of mail, with a binding round about the hole of it, that it should not be rent. "
— Exodus 39:23, American Standard Version
“And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.”
“The opening of the robe in its midst was like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around its opening, that it should not be torn.”
“There was an opening in the center of the robe, like the opening of a collar, with an edge all around the opening so that it could not be torn.”
“And little bells of the purest gold, which they put between the pomegranates at the bottom of the tunic round about:”
“With a hole at the top in the middle, like the hole in the coat of a fighting-man, edged with a band to make it strong.”
“And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.”
And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, in the forepart thereof, close by the coupling thereof, above the skilfully woven band of the ephod.
And they did bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be upon the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as Jehovah commanded Moses.
And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue;
and the hole of the robe in the midst thereof, as the hole of a coat of mail, with a binding round about the hole of it, that it should not be rent.
And they made upon the skirts of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the skirts of the robe round about, between the pomegranates;
a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about, to minister in; as Jehovah commanded Moses.
