— Exodus 27:5, Catholic Public Domain Version
“And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.”
“And thou shalt put it under the ledge round the altar beneath, that the net may reach halfway up the altar. ”
“You shall put it under the ledge around the altar beneath, that the net may reach halfway up the altar.”
“You are to put it under the ledge of the altar below, so that the network will come halfway up the altar.”
“Which thou shalt put under the hearth of the altar: and the grate shall be even to the midst of the altar.”
“And put the network under the shelf round the altar so that the net comes half-way up the altar.”
“And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.”
Now there shall be horns at the four corners of it, and you shall cover it with brass.
And you shall make, for its uses, pans to receive the ashes, and tongs as well as small hooks, and receptacles for fire. You shall fabricate all of its vessels from brass,
along with a grating of brass in the manner of a net. At its four corners there shall be four rings of brass,
which you shall place under the base of the altar. And the grating will extend even to the middle of the altar.
You shall also make, for the altar, two bars of setim wood, which you shall cover with layers of brass.
And you shall lead them through the rings, and they will be on both sides of the altar to carry it.
You shall not make it solid, but empty and hollow at the interior, just as it was shown to you on the mountain.
