American King James Version
"Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. "
— Ephesians 5:4, American King James Version
“Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.”
“nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks. ”
“nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.”
“Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting– all of which are out of character– but rather thanksgiving.”
“Or obscenity or foolish talking or scurrility, which is to no purpose: but rather giving of thanks.”
“And let there be no low behaviour, or foolish talk, or words said in sport, which are not right, but in place of them the giving of praise.”
“Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.”
Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling smell.
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints;
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God on the children of disobedience.
Be not you therefore partakers with them.
