"And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and delivered himself for us, as an oblation and a sacrifice to God, with a fragrance of sweetness. "
— Ephesians 5:2, Catholic Public Domain Version
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
“and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell. ”
“Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.”
“and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.”
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.”
“And be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell.”
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
Therefore, as most beloved sons, be imitators of God.
And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and delivered himself for us, as an oblation and a sacrifice to God, with a fragrance of sweetness.
But let not any kind of fornication, or impurity, or rapacity so much as be named among you, just as is worthy of the saints,
nor any indecent, or foolish, or abusive talk, for this is without purpose; but instead, give thanks.
For know and understand this: no one who is a fornicator, or lustful, or rapacious (for these are a kind of service to idols) holds an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
