“But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?”
“And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests. ”
“All who heard him were amazed, and said, "Isn't this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!"”
“And all that heard him were astonished and said: Is not this he who persecuted in Jerusalem those that called upon this name and came hither for that intent, that he might carry them bound to the chief priests?”

Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,
and after taking some food, his strength returned.For several days he was with the disciples in Damascus,
and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying,“This man is the Son of God.”

But Saul became more and more capable, and was causing consternation among the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.
Saul’s Escape from Damascus Now after some days had passed, the Jews plotted together to kill him,
but Saul learned of their plot against him. They were also watching the city gates day and night so that they could kill him.
