"They replied,“We have received no letters from Judea about you, nor have any of the brothers come from there and reported or said anything bad about you."

“And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.”
“And they said unto him, We neither received letters from Judæa concerning thee, nor did any of the brethren come hither and report or speak any harm of thee. ”
“They said to him, "We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor did any of the brothers come here and report or speak any evil of you.”
“But they said to him: We neither received letters concerning thee from Judea: neither did any of the brethren that came hither relate or speak any evil of thee.”
“And they said to him, We have not had letters from Judaea about you, and no one of the brothers has come to us here to give an account or say any evil about you.”

When they had heard my case, they wanted to release me, because there was no basis for a death sentence against me.
But when the Jews objected, I was forced to appeal to Caesar– not that I had some charge to bring against my own people.
So for this reason I have asked to see you and speak with you, for I am bound with this chain because of the hope of Israel.”
They replied,“We have received no letters from Judea about you, nor have any of the brothers come from there and reported or said anything bad about you.
But we would like to hear from you what you think, for regarding this sect we know that people everywhere speak against it.”
They set a day to meet with him, and they came to him where he was staying in even greater numbers. From morning until evening he explained things to them, testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus from both the law of Moses and the prophets.
Some were convinced by what he said, but others refused to believe.
