American King James Version
"Men and brothers, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us to this day. "
— Acts 2:29, American King James Version
“Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.”
“Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. ”
“"Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.”
““Brothers, I can speak confidently to you about our forefather David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.”
“Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David: that he died and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present say.”
“My brothers, I may say to you openly that David came to his death, and was put in the earth, and his resting-place is with us today.”
“Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.”
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance.
Men and brothers, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us to this day.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
