“Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
“Because he saith also in another psalm, Thou wilt not give thy Holy One to see corruption. ”
“Therefore he says also in another psalm, 'You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.'”
“Therefore he also says in another psalm,‘You will not permit your Holy One to experience decay.’”
“And therefore, in another place also, he saith: Thou shalt not suffer thy holy one to see corruption.”
“Because he says in another Psalm, You will not let your Holy One see destruction.”
“Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
And we declare to you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made to the fathers,
God has fulfilled the same to us their children, in that he has raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you.
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
Why he says also in another psalm, You shall not suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid to his fathers, and saw corruption:
But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. ¶
Be it known to you therefore, men and brothers, that through this man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins:
