“And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might wherewith he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?”

Jehoahaz passed away and was buried in Samaria. His son Joash replaced him as king.
Jehoash’s Reign over Israel In the thirty-seventh year of King Joash’s reign over Judah, Jehoahaz’s son Jehoash became king over Israel. He reigned in Samaria for sixteen years.
He did evil in the sight of the LORD. He did not repudiate the sinful ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat who encouraged Israel to sin; he continued in those sins.

Joash passed away and Jeroboam succeeded him on the throne. Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
Elisha Makes One Final Prophecy Now Elisha had a terminal illness. King Joash of Israel went down to visit him. He wept before him and said,“My father, my father! The chariot and horsemen of Israel!”
Elisha told him,“Take a bow and some arrows,” and he did so.
